Matthew McConaughey Claims To Be A True Texan Sparking Mass State-wide Exodus

Along with Keanu Reeves, Matthew McConaughey is one of those actors that make you think "I could do that". His down-home style and inability to replicate a wide range of emotions, make McConaughey one of Hollywood's most saught-after romantic comedy actors.

Now it seems that the 42-year-old has sparked one of the largest movements of population since the days of the pioneers by claiming he feels like a true Texan.

The actor recently relocated from Los Angeles to his native state of Texas with fiancé Camila Alves and their two small children and things were going along just fine until he had to open his massive trap, leaving many Texans feeling as though they had no alternative but to up-sticks and make a break for the border.

Reports coming from the US State Department suggest that Oklahoma and New Mexico are bracing themselves for an influx of almost 20 million refugees from the stricken state. These men, women, children & neuters are to be housed in schools, churches and sporting stadia before being moved on to other states to help balance out the populace.

There are reported fears for the other 6.7 million inhabitants of Texas who many sources believe may be too elderly and frail to make the journey themselves. At the moment the government is considering flying rescue sorties into the state to try and rescue those still wishing to leave.

This mass panic comes as many Texans had just settled back into their homes following the George W. Bush debacle of 2006 with many commentators suggesting that the state may never recover from McConaughey's intrusion.

What sparked these scenes of panic? It was this statement by McConaughey himself that led many Texans to realise that Hollywood's worst actor was in their midst:

"I grew up here. We got children, family values, neighbours and common sense-and I can catch a greenlight in Texas."

"Anytime I can get any movie of mine playing in Austin, it's great. It feels homegrown for me. I feel like a local when I'm walking around here, going down the street in my neighbourhood, in my town."

A number of protest groups have sprung up among Texans who have chosen to remain in the state, most notably the "Piss Off McConaughey" movement led by noted Texan scholar Buddy King. They have blamed the mass migration of native Texans as well as the banking crisis on McConaughey, suggesting that he should be exiled from the United States of America.
