The Man Who Gave Us Celebrity Nudes Pleads Guilty

Celebrity boob enthusiast, Christopher Chaney, has agreed to plead guilty to hacking into the email accounts of celebrities such as Christina Aguilera, Mila Kunis and Scarlett Johansson. From there, he shared their bangers with the world.

According to court documents filed Thursday, Chaney, will plead guilty in a federal court to nine felony counts, including unauthorized access to a computer and wiretapping.

So pleading guilty will see him getting community service or something? More like 60 years in prison. Celebrities are going to have to leak their own pictures from now on, the poor lambs. Unless, of course, they've got bitter exes hovering over the 'share' button, eh Tulisa?

The amusingly named defence attorney, Christopher Chestnut, said on Thursday night, that he is still working with prosecutors and wouldn't confirm the number of felony counts Chaney will plead guilty to.

Chestnut says:

"To date, Chris has been very cooperative with prosecutors, he's remorseful for any of the harm caused to the stars, and just looks to a resolution of the case."

If you recall (which you won't because your brain has been eroded by sugary drinks, cat memes and television commercials) Chaney was arrested in October as part of a yearlong investigation called "Operation Hackerazzi."

What Chaney did, to get the pictures, was reasonably clever. He mined through publicly available data to figure out password and security questions for celebrity accounts and then set up a forwarding feature so that a copy of every email a celebrity received was sent to an account he controlled.

Brilliantly simple and something that you, should you have the time, absolutely do at home.

Of course, Chaney invariably has a whole load of pictures from celebrities that we've not seen yet, so hackers obviously have to crack the computers of the law to get them… which they can't because they're rubbish at that sort of thing.

Is that throwing a passive-aggressive gauntlet down enough?
