Olly Murs Pesters Cheryl Cole Into Responding To His Lovelorn Tweets

Olly Murs is an exciting young chap, isn't he? When he's not presenting the Xtra Factor, he's batting off rumours about his sex life by claiming he's an asexual castrato with a crippling level of shyness.

Now it seems that renowned wallflower Murs is coming out of his shell after his therapist dared him to ask Cheryl Cole on a date.

Cheryl's act, Joe McWhatsisface, beat Olly to win the X Factor in 2010 but that didn't stop the shy, retiring young Essex boy from saying that he would like to steal a kiss from Mrs Cole.

Not much was heard from them after that and no reports of a romance followed. However, following months of concerted effort, Olly Murs finally prompted a response from Cheryl Cole, proving that it could all be "on".

Of course, all of this happened on Twitter where two dribbling fools were desperately clamouring for a response from their idols as opposed to the usual screaming into the ether. Olly managed to drag himself into responding:

"sod it I'll tweet you all ahaha xx"

He's a comic genius, is our Olly. That doesn't matter though because it convinced Cheryl to finally give her baby-faced stalker a chance to prove himself, responding to him with:

"@ollyofficial sod it ill tweet you back lol… Hope your good babe xx".

Of course, that meant that the two fans were left out of being included in Cole's loving tweet but it's not about the fans, it's about what makes celebrity sites write about you. Oh god, we're part of the system.

Murs, of course, got so excited that he took it too far. He got ahead of himself. The usually shy and retiring star of stage and ITV2 then penned this little ditty that even Wilde would have been proud of:

"Haha sod it @CherylCole I'll ask for your number then #cantblameaguyfortrying #worthashot lol haha x"

Oh Olly. Dear, sweet Olly. Too many 'lols' do not a proposition make. You can just imagine his 'cheeky chappy' smile while he was typing it out, can't you? We preferred him when we pretended he was a castrato.

We can only imagine how long it will be until Olly hears from Cheryl again. Until then, we suppose he'll have to make do with pinning her picture to Caroline Flack's face. Gutted.
