Jedward To Front Channel 5?s Best Programme Ever!

We all know Britain's premiere broadcaster Channel 5 is working its socks off to bring us the very best in televisual entertainment every single day, which is why you'll be pleased to hear that they've come up with the perfect vehicle for John & Edward Grimes, more commonly known as the entity "Jedward"!

Lucky us!

The TV gurus at Channel 5 have given the plucky lads the opportunity to stamp their chirpy brand of brain-damaged humour all over the home video clip show.

It's a tradition that these shows are given to personalities who don't quite fit within the realms of conventional TV. Just take ITV's long-standing repeatathon 'You've Been Framed!' which has seen the likes of Jeremy Beadle and Lisa Reilly grace its comfortable couch before Harry Hill took the job and the world seemed to run out of grandmothers falling into swimming pools.

Luckily, John & Edward will have the full arsenal of Channel 5?s exceptional programme-making to call on. Yes, that's right folks. It's going to be another Youtube show.

With E4?s 'Rude Tube' and… the… other one on the BBC, you'd think that the market would be flooded by clips of people teaching a dog to bark a Lady Gaga song or tickling a baboon's anus but apparently not! The show, which is titled Weird Wild World, will air in six parts and will most definitely be great television and won't be so achingly puerile that it'll make you want to tear your eyes out and eat them with a light hollandaise sauce.

It won't. Honestly.

Okay, it might.

Sir John & Edward of Whichoneswhichcester said:

"We're so excited to be hosting this new series for 5. We love going online and watching funny clips and our new series will bring together the most amazing internet clips we could find. Buckle up, it's going to be a Jepic ride!"

Jepic. It's like epic but with a J. How could this not be the best television show ever commissioned? Speaking of commissioned, Channel 5?s commissioning editor for 'Factual Entertainment & Features' Ian Dunkley went on to comment on 5?s televisual slam dunk(ley) (sorry):

"We're delighted to be able to give Jedward the opportunity to host their own show. They're a perfect fit for 5 – young, fun and they've got great hair."

Apparently all presenters on Channel 5 are now contractually obliged to have great hair. Jim Rosenthal is said to be incensed that the channel chose this method to tell him he was being made redundant.

Anyway, look out for Jedward's Weird Wild World… eventually… who really cares?
